The Rotary Intercountry Committee (ICC) The Netherlands-Russian Federation was founded in 2013 in Amsterdam.
Intercountry committees are important instruments of Rotary International to stimulate cross border cooperation as a contribution to peace and security worldwide. The main objective of ICC’s is to connect individual Rotarians, Rotary Clubs and, possibly, Rotary Districts of both countries.
The Dutch Section of the ICC The Netherlands-Russian Federation is composed of around 15 Rotarians originating from all 7 Dutch Rotary Districts. The ambition of the ICC The Netherlands-Russian Federation is to develop each year activities in both countries, in areas of mutual interest and reflecting the typical Rotary services:
So far projects have been developed for example in the areas of assistance to blind and bad eyesight people, agriculture and horticulture, and cultural cooperation (music festivals and drawing competitions for children).
